Apple Brownies

Apple brownies???? Give them a try before you say WHAT? As you know I like anything with apples in it

. This is a moist cake like brownie but not like an apple cake. The kiddos even devoured them and that's a good thing. This is What's Cookin on Beaty's Creek today.

Needed:

1/2 cup butter-softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 apples-peeled, cored, and chopped
1 cup flour
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t baking powder
1 t cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg, then mix in apples. Sift dry ingredients and work into the first mixture. Pour into a buttered, 8 x 8-inch baking dish and bake at 350' for 40 minutes.

Fudge Brownies

As if we needed another brownie recipe. This recipe is crunchy on top and chewy inside, just the way a brownie should be in my opinion. Ice-cream would be really good on top of this sucker too. This is What's Cookin on this HOT August day on Beaty's Creek.

Needed:

1/2 cup Crisco
2 t cocoa
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 bag of milk chocolate chips

Cream Crisco and sugar together until creamy, now add your eggs and vanilla and mix well. Lastly add your flour and pour into a 9 inch pan and bake at 350' for 25 minutes. Make sure you don't over bake these, they dry out if over baked. When you remove them from the oven sprinkle with chocolate chips.

The 2nd Best Brownies You Will Ever Eat

This recipe is so moist and chewy you will be amazed that it is so simple to make. That is if you don't mind using a double boiler. I like to double this and make half with nuts and half without. It really doubles easily, so make a bunch, they will not last long.

Needed:
1 stick butter(no substitutes)
9 ounces chocolate of your choice(I love semi sweet and Raven loves dark)
1 cup white sugar
1 t salt
3 eggs(I use free range)
3/4 cup of flour
1 cup nuts-chopped(optional)

Melt butter, chocolate, and sugar together in a double boiler. Once chocolate and butter melt and sugar is mixed well remove from heat and add the rest of the ingredients. Don't over mix, pour into a 8 inch baking pan and bake a t 350' for 45 minutes. These are really good with vanilla ice-cream, note to self buy more vanilla ice-cream. That is What's Cookin today on Beaty's Creek.
